VisionQuest built a house full of mistakes on purpose

Bettany, in a Marvel cast interview, treats the Disney+ series as a father-son tale that closes the WandaVision trilogy.

Marvel Television says a large share of VisionQuest unfolds in Vision’s mind, where Paul Bettany’s synthezoid has built a Mindspace as a bright white house. He can walk its halls, revisit memories and consult other artificial minds who live there. Marvel’s set feature places James Spader’s Ultron in the attic, sealed off by a firewall.

Marvel’s feature credits designer Will Hughes-Jones with a bright maze: kitchen, living room and midcentury pieces that first seem ordinary. Stairs stop short, chairs tilt oddly, books hold code, and window glass echoes the gem in Vision’s forehead. The same account says the crew looked to Edward Hopper and M.C. Escher, using warm color, wood, circuit-like floors and Mind Stone trim, plus 40 custom kitchen labels such as a Vis-O-Matic vacuum and Infinidairy milk.

Marvel’s cast interview says VisionQuest is already streaming on Disney+ and finishes a three-show run opened by WandaVision in 2021 and Agatha All Along in 2024, as Vision weighs his humanity. Bettany tells Marvel the show uses a father and son bond under a science-fiction surface, in that interview.
