Sacramento’s downtown ice rink has more than one way to skate for less
November brings a free morning session and a food-bank discount, plus savings for transit riders.
The Downtown Sacramento Partnership lists a free skate sponsored by the Athletics for November 22, from 10 a.m. to noon. The rink is at Ali Youssefi Square, 701 K Street.
Regular admission costs $15, or $8 for children age six and under, with skate rental included. The advertised season runs November 4, 2026, through January 18, 2027.
During November 16–29, a donation to River City Food Bank gets $5 off admission. Canned goods, cereal and peanut butter are among the foods the organizer accepts.
SacRT offers another route to a lower price: ride Blue or Gold light rail or a downtown bus, then show a same-day ticket or pass for $2 off rink admission.
Check the organizer’s latest schedule before going. The notices do not confirm whether the food-donation and transit discounts can be combined.
